This Accessibility Statement applies to the University of Hamburg website published at https://interexile.blogs.uni-hamburg.de/.

In accordance with Directive (EU) 2016/2102, we endeavour to make our websites and mobile applications accessible in accordance with the provisions of the Hamburg Disability Equality Act (hereinafter referred to as HmbBGG) and the Hamburg Accessible Information Technology Ordinance (hereinafter referred to as HmbBITVO) for the implementation of Directive (EU) 2016/2102.

Status of compliance with the requirements

The accessibility requirements are derived from Section 1 of the HmbBITVO in conjunction with Sections 3(1) to (4) and Section 4 of the Federal BITV, which was enacted on the basis of Section 11 of the HmbBGG.

Verification of compliance with the requirements is based on a self-assessment/test carried out on 30 April 2026 by the blog administrator.

Based on this verification, the website is partially to non-compliant with the aforementioned requirements due to the following incompatibilities and exceptions.

The requirements are to be addressed as part of a technical overhaul of the website.

Arbitration procedure

If no satisfactory solution has been found following your feedback to the contact details above, you may contact the Conciliation Board in accordance with Section 13a of the Hamburg Administrative Court Act (HmbBGG). The Conciliation Board is tasked with facilitating out-of-court dispute resolution in conflicts regarding accessibility between people with disabilities and public bodies. The conciliation procedure is free of charge. There is no need to engage legal counsel.
